The review article examines the types of interventions carried out in the cardio-obstetric clinic: mitral commissurotomy, heart valve replacement, correction of congenital heart defects. In this group of women, attention was paid to contraindications for carrying a pregnancy, the management of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. In women with a perceived low to moderate risk of complications, regular follow-up and planning of labor offers the best chances for a favorable pregnancy outcome. Multicenter prospective studies are needed to improve monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium.
