Covid-19 and clinical recommendations for the provision of medical assistance to women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period
##common.pageHeaderLogo.altText## Actual Questions of Modern Gynecology and Perinatology

Abstract

Proper antenatal, obstetric, and neonatal care is especially important in women with COVID-19 infection during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. During the COVID-19 pandemic, diagnostic, treatment and prevention measures are not implemented in accordance with certain standards. Pregnant women infected with COVID-19 are at high risk and are being studied for early and long-term complications. Methodological aids and clinical recommendations on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period provided by health organizations in a number of countries (WHO, FIGO, MHRF) are regularly updated. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus infection, which was considered relatively safe for pregnancy, already indicates serious complications in the health of mother and child.
