Informativeness of oncomarkers and indices of cytomegalovirus infection in tumors of the organs of the reproductive system in the postmenopausal period
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the degree of informative value of oncomarkers and cytomegalovirus indices in the diagnosis of various tumors of the reproductive system organs in the postmenopausal period. Material and methods of investigation. 130 women with various ovarian tumors in the postmenopausal period were examined. The parameters of CA-125, estriol (E3) and cytomegalovirus CMV (İgG) were determined. Results of the study. It has been established that the determination of CA-125, E3 and CMV (İgG) is important for the diagnosis of various tumors in the organs of the reproductive system. In women with uterine myoma and endometrial hyperplasia in the postmenopausal period, the parameters of CA-125 correspond to physiological parameters, while a signifi cant increase in E3 and cytomegalovirus IgG (P <0.05) is observed. With neoplasia of the uterus and ovaries, a statistically signifi cant increase in CA-125 and CMV (İgG) was noted with a signifi cant decrease in the E3 level (P<0.05).
