##common.pageHeaderLogo.altText## Actual Questions of Modern Gynecology and Perinatology

Abstract

Despite the current absence of a global COVID-19 infection pandemic, coronavirus disease continues to remain relevant. The systematic review places particular emphasis on issues concerning coronavirus infection and its impact on the health of women
during pregnancy. It is demonstrated that COVID-19 affects not only the pregnant woman's body but also the health of their infants. The article examines the characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, risk factors, epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, as well as outcomes for both pregnant women and their infants.
It is stressed that coronavirus infection is an important socio-medical problem of global civilization, necessitating further research to achieve a deeper understanding of the impact of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on pregnancy and the well-being of newborns
